March 7, 2002 -- A new 1/32 DIN controller is designed to be more powerful than its previous versions.
The new PXR3 controller offers a variety of inputs and outputs, and a 16-segment ramp-soak profile. The bright red LED display is bigger and brighter than most other 1/32 DIN controllers.
Low-cost options include RS485 Modbus™ communications with free Windows®-based software, digital input, dual outputs, and programmable alarms. A new option to the PXR series is the program configuration loader with Windows®-based software to easily set up the controller.
Files for different applications can be saved to and from the controller. Remote monitoring of up to 31 controllers at a time is possible with the RS485 option that uses the industry-standard Modbus protocol.
The free Windows-based communications software, PXR-LITE, allows a comprehensive graphical user interface. The faceplate, designed for NEMA 4X (IP66 equivalent), is watertight and is corrosion resistant.
There are screw-terminals on the back for making connections. In addition to auto-tuning and Fuji's highly popular fuzzy control, the PXR3 comes with self-tuning, an innovation in the control field. It allows for retuning the controller under certain conditions, without reverting to auto-tuning.
The standard ramp/soak feature includes two patterns that can be linked to create a 16-step profile. The PXR3 accepts temperature and process inputs, and offers two control outputs and two programmable alarms.
As with all products purchased from TTI, the PXR3 comes with free technical support for the lifetime of the product.
