Newbury, Ohio Kinetico Incorporated, a manufacturer of quality water treatment systems, announced the acquisition of manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities in Denmark, England and France. All three facilities existed independent Kinetico distributorships and have been purchased to allow the company to take a more direct approach in the European market. The newly acquired businesses will support and supply a European network of distributors and dealers.
According to Kinetic President, Keith Tompkins, "The acquisitions are a direct result of Kinetico's expanding presence in the European market, and we felt it was appropriate to standardize Kinetico's message and image being portrayed throughout Europe."
Kinetico Denmark ApS, directed by Jim Corbett and Jan Gelineck, has been set up as a manufacturing and distribution center and will service the entire European market. The facility has recently expanded to meet the higher demand for product and increase production efficiencies.
Kinetico UK Limited is overseen by Managing Director, Grant Audernard, and will handle assembly and sales of commercial/industrial equipment and sales of residential equipment in the United Kingdom. Kinetico UK Limited will be run from its Southampton office and will support a network of more than 80 dealerships.
Kinetic France, managed by Jean-Pierre Lebacq and Salha Bakhti, will be a distribution and sales office for residential and light commercial equipment and will help increase Kinetico's market share in France. The country is one of the largest residential water treatment markets in the world making Kinetico's presence in France a necessity.
"There is still massive potential for growth in the European market which is why we are backing our investment with these acquisitions," said Gary Martin, Kinetico's vice president of residential and commercial sales. "Our overall aim is to raise consumer awareness of Europe's water quality issues and the benefits of owning a Kinetico water treatment system," said Martin.
"All three companies have had experience with Kinetico equipment prior to the acquisitions. With their existing Kinetico product knowledge, we are comfortable that they will help us expand into other markets throughout Europe," said Tompkins.
