Pentair Water Treatment secures new distribution agreement for T&T Pumps

Effective immediately, Pentair Water Treatment has signed an agreement to become the exclusive global distributor of all T&T Pump products in the water treatment markets.

CHARDON, OHIO, June 17, 2002 -- Effective immediately, Pentair Water Treatment has signed an agreement to become the exclusive global distributor of all T&T Pump products in the water treatment markets.

T&T's full line of horizontal booster pumps, submersible modular booster pumps and high pressure stainless cast pumps, serving the water treatment markets, will be marketed under the CodeLine name. The design, manufacture and service of the pumps, including service exchange, repairs and rebuilds, will continue to be done by T&T.

Founded in 1965, T&T Pump has built an enviable reputation for the quality and reliability of its multistage booster pumps. Its focus on the water purification market makes its association with Pentair Water Treatment, and the CodeLine brand of products, a natural partnership. CodeLine's filament-wound membrane housings and multistage vertical pumps are critical to the production of ultrapure water, in industries that include desalination, electronics manufacturing, food and beverage, power, automotive, pharmaceutical and healthcare.

By adding T&T pumps to its line, Pentair Water Treatment offers its customers more selection and greater convenience. "T&T pumps have been proven in a variety of applications - from three miles underground in the harsh conditions of the mining industry, to the ultra clean environment of the semiconductor industry," says Jorge Fernandez, President of Pentair Water Treatment.

"The leading manufacturers of RO equipment prefer T&T pumps because of their performance, reliability, and low maintenance cost. Having T&T pumps in our water purification product line gives Pentair Water Treatment a strong competitive advantage." Fernandez added that the new CodeLine pumps would offer the same levels of reliability and performance already associated with the Company's sister divisions in the commercial and residential pump markets, specifically, Aplex, Aurora Pump, Fairbanks Morse, Hydromatic, Layne/Verti-Line and Myers.

Pentair Water Treatment is the premier source of water treatment components, subsystems and evolving technologies for the North American and global industrial and municipal marketplaces.

The company currently markets and distributes Fleck control valves, CodeLine membrane housings and pumps, and Structural pressure vessels.
