SAN JOSE, Calif., June 26, 2002 -- New Mexico Water Service Co. has signed an agreement to purchase the National Utilities Corp. for slightly more than rate base, the company announced recently.
National Utilities Corporation serves 700 water customers located adjacent to the Rio Grande water system, which New Mexico Water Service Company expects to acquire on July 1, 2002, and 900 water customers located 150 miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
