MELBOURNE, Fla., Dec. 17, 2002 -- Metretek Contract Manufacturing Co. Inc. (MCM) announced that it has received a multi-year order, expected to generate approximately $500,000 in annual revenues, from Data Flow Systems, a manufacturer of telemetry systems in the water and wastewater industries.
According to Ted Vreeland, Director of Operations at Data Flow Systems, DFS radio telemetry systems are used nationwide by utilities in their quest to effectively serve the public. For over 20 years, DFS -- which began developing telemetry systems strictly for the water and wastewater industries in 1981 -- has applied advanced technology and telemetering techniques to the real-world challenges of water utility SCADA.
"MCM has worked very diligently with us throughout the initial phases of this new product build and design cycle," said Vreeland. "They have impressed us with their customer service and responsiveness, and we are pleased to have them as our manufacturing partner."
"Data Flow Systems' selection of MCM as a strategic partner further solidifies our position as a growing market leader in the contract manufacturing business, with a strong focus on quality and customer service," said Thomas R. Kellogg, president and CEO of Metretek, Incorporated. "We continue to be very pleased with the progress of our MCM subsidiary and its ability to develop and secure significant new partnerships in spite of the recent softness in the overall economy."
