Oct. 16, 2002 -- A reception held Tuesday at the California State University Fresno campus celebrated San Joaquin Valley Water Technology and the unveiling of the International Center for Water Technology.
To facilitate industry-wide innovation in a segment important to the economic future of the region, the San Joaquin Valley Water Technology Industry Cluster was formed in April 2001.
Comprised of manufacturers, distributors and dealers of water and flow technology equipment from throughout the San Joaquin Valley, industry members of the Water Technology Cluster are working collaboratively on technological advances, workforce preparation initiatives, export development and industry advocacy.
The San Joaquin Valley Water Technology Cluster is a joint venture between participating industry members and California State University at Fresno.
More than a research lab, a think tank, an exhibit of best practices, or even a source of industry certification, the International Center for Water Technology brings to the water technology industry and the world a uniquely valuable and irreplaceable resource.
Soon to be located in a new 70,000 square foot, multi story facility in the heart of California's san Joaquin valley, the international center for water technology is dedicated to developing and promoting next generation technologies that will increase water and energy use effectiveness in urban, commercial, agricultural and environmental applications.
As worldwide demand for limited water and energy supplies increases, the international center for water technology will advance new technologies that make possible more efficient management, recycling, transportation, distributing, and conserving of water and energy resources.
