LAS VEGAS, Oct. 22, 2002 -- Electro-Chemical Technologies Ltd. announced the appointment of Planetary Pure Ltd as an international sales representative for the marketing and sales of ELCH's commercial portable water purification system.
ELCH acquired the marketing, sales and distribution rights for the portable system from its Russian manufacturer, the Laboratory of Electrotechnology Ltd. in Moscow, Russia.
The portable water purification system uses a patented electrochemical activation process to generate safe drinking water from any natural fresh water source. Proven in the field, the unique system can purify from 300 to 600 liters per hour of unsalted natural water in localities that are hard to access or lack the infrastructure to clean polluted water.
The system is available in a stand alone container or for installation in a truck or trailer. Its compact nature, portability and diesel or gasoline powered generator make it ideal for use in emergencies. The resulting potable water can be packaged in plastic packets for individual use or dispensed in larger containers.
In announcing the Planetary Pure appointment, Jack Brebbia, ELCH's President, said, "We view this as an important revenue-generating addition to our ECA product line. Our system meets a deep need in developing countries and other areas, for example in refugee camps, where there is simply no infrastructure available for providing clean drinking water."
Planetary Pure is a Canadian electronic media and marketing company using its network of international contacts to generate sales orders.
