SCHAUMBURG, Ill. & PUNE, India, July 15, 2002 -- Alfa Laval India on Monday forged a strategic partnership with Intentia South Asia to implement the full suite of Movex Collaborative Solutions throughout its operations in India.
The Indian operations include 200 users across Alfa Laval's five factories, 15 branches, one customer service center and headquarters in Pune.
The implementation will include applications to support core business processes such as Movex Enterprise Management (ENM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Business Performance Measurement (BPM). The project is slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2003.
Once the solution is in place, Alfa Laval expects to radically streamline all of its local business processes and thereby increase its efficiency levels. The company aims to save on inventory and administrative costs, as well as improve productivity and operational margins. All employees at Alfa Laval will also have full access to pertinent data that will enable them to react faster to change and make well-informed business decisions.
