Cleantech San Diego Partners with Smart Water Networks Forum

SAN DIEGO, CA, JANUARY 26, 2017 – Regional business association Cleantech San Diego has formed a new partnership with the Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) in support of technologies that advance the efficient use of water.

The announcement was made yesterday at a smart water conference co-hosted by the two nonprofit organizations at Qualcomm Technologies headquarters in San Diego. The event, titled "Smart Water: Tapping Technologies for Water Utilities," featured a full day of interactive discussions with 25 experts from the smart water industry on topics ranging from deployment, monitoring, and management to financing strategies and community engagement. Water utility and technology leaders discussed the challenges and opportunities associated with the integration of data-driven technologies across the North American water sector. The conference, which drew 200 guests from across the continent, marked the first collaboration between Cleantech San Diego and SWAN.

Cleantech San Diego is a member-based trade organization that positions the greater San Diego region as a global leader in the cleantech economy by fostering collaborations across the private-public-academic landscape, leading advocacy efforts to promote cleantech priorities, and encouraging investment in the San Diego region.

SWAN is the leading global hub for the smart water sector, accelerating the awareness and adoption of data-driven technologies in water and wastewater networks worldwide.
