SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 16, 2000—Hansen Information Technologies is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the City of Seattle, Department of Design, Construction & Land Use (DCLU) to provide an integrated permit and land management processing system.

Hansen will be providing its Land Management and Customer Service/Call Center solutions along with an Internet component for online transaction processing. The Hansen solution will be used by over 300 DCLU employees to process over 25,000 annual permit applications, 65,000 inspections, and track almost 5,000 code enforcement cases annually.

"We were impressed with the flexibility that the Hansen system offers the city," said Sam Kurle, DCLU Information Technology Manager. "This flexibility will enable us to configure the software to enhance or maintain our business processes and procedures and more importantly, continue to maintain the system without having to rely on Hansen for every small change."

The entire implementation project will take approximately 15 months and will include data conversion, system installation, project management, and training. Additional tools are also being licensed or developed to integrate the entire system with the city's existing GIS solution from ESRI, the city's existing IVR system, and a document management system.
