Haestad Methods has expanded its international presence to Australia to meet the growing demands of its customers in this region.

WATERBURY, Conn., Aug. 29, 2003 -- Haestad Methods has expanded its international presence to Australia to meet the growing demands of its customers in this region. The formation of Haestad Methods' Sydney-based office follows the opening of similar operations in China and India.

Wayne Hartell has been appointed to lead the sales, marketing, and research team for Asia and Western Pacific. He brings to this position a background in water distribution system modeling and system design, project management, and several years experience developing Haestad Methods' award-winning software.

The company has been flourishing in this market for the last ten years, securing key accounts with prominent utilities including Brisbane Water, Barwon Region Water Authority, Citiwater, Main Roads Western Australia, and South Australian Water Corporation. To date, Haestad Methods sales and services for Australasia have always been managed through its global sales group. With this new facility, Haestad Methods will be able to more thoroughly meet the needs and unique water resources requirements of its clients in this area.
