Jan. 22, 2003 -- Under the direction of the governments of the United States and Mexico, the North American Development Bank (NADB) and the Border Environment Cooperation Commission (BECC), on Wednesday requested expression of interest for consultants to carry out a business process review study of both institutions.
The study is one of several initiatives recommended by a binational working group, commissioned by the U.S. and Mexican governments, to improve the performance and effectiveness of the NADB and the BECC.
It will develop options and alternatives to make the process for designing, developing, approving, financing, and implementing potable water treatment, municipal wastewater treatment, and municipal solid waste projects in the US-Mexico border region more efficient and easier for communities and other project sponsors. It will also develop a plan that Boards of Directors for the BECC and the NADB could use to evaluate the performance and measure the results of both institutions.
The NADB/BECC request for expression of interest for the Business Process Review Study is available online at www.nadb.org. Participation in contracts to be financed by the NADB and the BECC is open to firms in any country, and the selection process will be conducted in accordance with the NADB Procurement Policies and Procedures. Documentation and terms of reference will be issued in English only.
