HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Jan. 15, 2003 -- Intergraph, as a key vendor sponsor, will provide geospatial software, training, and support for the Spatial Information Cooperative Research Centre recently formed with a (US) $6.2 million award by the Australian Government.
The Centre, which joins the research programs of the four major research universities in Australia, along with key Government departments and the military, will facilitate the exchange and use of spatial information to promote better government and environmental management as well as build new commercial opportunities for Australian businesses both locally and internationally.
Intergraph's active participation with this new research venture continues the company's support of strategic academic initiatives for the development and deployment of enterprise geospatial solutions.
