MELBOURNE, Fla., Sept. 24, 2003 -- Metretek Contract Manufacturing Co., Inc. (MCM), has received an "Outstanding Supplier Recognition Award" from Data Flow Systems, a provider of turnkey radio- and network-based telemetry systems for water and wastewater utilities.
According to L. Lee Arrowood, MCM's vice president and general manager, MCM is currently eight months into a two-year contract as the primary manufacturer of subassemblies for water and wastewater systems supplied by Data Flow Systems. "DFS chose MCM as a strategic partner with high expectations of superior service and timely delivery," said Arrowood. "Both teams have put significant effort into this partnership, and it has been a shining success. We are very pleased to receive this award from DFS and look forward to our continuing role as their manufacturing partner."
"MCM has provided exemplary customer support and assistance during the release of a significant new DFS product," said Ted Vreeland, director of operations at Data Flow Systems. "They have been able to maintain a low cost basis and have helped identify alternate improvements that have resulted in significant cost reductions. Their on-time delivery and sustained yields have similarly been excellent. I can't say enough positive things to describe our enjoyment in working with MCM as a manufacturing partner."
DFS's telemetry systems are used nationwide by utilities in the quest to effectively serve the public. The company, which began developing telemetry systems strictly for the water and wastewater industries in 1981, has applied advanced technology and telemetering techniques to the real world challenges of water utility SCADA.
