SHEBOYGAN, Wis., July 16, 2003 -- Pentair announced that its recent acquisition, Plymouth Products, dba Pentair Water Treatment, introduced its new brand on July 1, 2003.
The new brand name, Pentek(tm), will be used on all products and in all communications for the water treatment, commercial, industrial, and military markets.
Neil Desmond, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Plymouth Products, is excited about the change. "The Pentek name identifies us with our corporate owner and ties us to that company's worldwide credibility," he said. "In addition, the 'tech' part of our new name positions us as a technological innovator," he added.
Desmond went on to point out that the company's new tag line, "Pure quality," was also important. "The line reflects our 35-year track record and overall reputation in the field as a quality company," he commented.
As Director of Sales, Dennis Young believes the new brand name will be widely embraced. "Over half the people surveyed in our market research placed a strong emphasis on the importance of quality," Young noted. "We believe the Pentek name and positioning line will resonate positively with the majority of our customer base," he said.
