Providence, RI, April 3, 2003 -- Wayne Flournoy of Allentown, Pennsylvania was recently named President of Kaldnes North America Inc., located in Providence, Rhode Island with headquarters in Norway and Sweden. Kaldnes is the supplier of the Moving BedTMBiofilm Reactor (MBBR) process used in industrial and municipal applications worldwide for the biological treatment of wastewater.
Flournoy received a BS in mechanical engineering as well as an MBA, both from the University of Virginia. His early experience covers a range of work in the environmental industry including governmental relations, sales and marketing and the engineering and construction of wastewater treatment systems. Most recently Flournoy served as the Director of the Water and Wastewater Division of Brentwood Industries. In this capacity he was responsible for operations and all aspects of sales and marketing for the Division.
In his new role as President, Flournoy will have the overall responsibility for the management of Kaldnes North America in Providence, Rhode Island as well as offices located in Denver, Colorado.

Since the start up of Kaldnes North America in April 2001 the company has received orders for over 12 million dollars and has made major breakthroughs in the industrial and municipal markets. The company intends to further increase their presence in North America in the near future.
