Feb. 12, 2003 -- The North American Development Bank (NADB) Board of Directors has finalized guidelines for administration of the Water Conservation Investment Fund (WCIF) for projects in the United States.

The WCIF seeks to provide grants to finance investments in water conservation projects aimed at saving, using and transferring water more efficiently to alleviate impacts resulting from drought conditions in the U.S.-Mexico border region. The NADB Board of Directors has made US$40 million, out of the total US$80 million of resources in the WCIF, available for projects in the United States.
