LENEXA, Kan., Feb. 6, 2003 -- Recognizing outstanding selfless service, the annual Scranton-Gillette/Water & Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers' Association (WWEMA) Humanitarian Award was awarded to Dolon Silimon, Smith & Loveless Georgia, during the 94th Annual WWEMA meeting in La Quinta, Calif.

Silimon was recognized for his tremendous community work as a member of the Park Pride's Advisory Board, Callanwolde Fine Arts Center's Advisory Board and Cathedral of Faith Ministries Board of Trustees. When he is not on duty as a Little League umpire, he serves as a big brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister Programs of Atlanta. He is also a founding member of the Clark Atlanta University Engineering Scholarship Committee, where he received his civil engineering degree.

Silimon's integrity has impressed many in the Atlanta community, including Sam Goldman of Callanwolde. In more than 25 years of involvement with Ca11anwolde, Goldman said he has never met someone who offers their services to help and follows up on their promise like Silimon.

Silimon was presented with a special plaque and a $1,000 contribution will be made on his behalf to Park Pride and Callanwolde Fine Arts.
