CHARLOTTE, NC, May 20, 2013 -- HUBER Technology, a manufacturer of wastewater treatment solutions for municipal, industrial, and institutional markets, has been selected to provide its BT Medium Temperature Belt Dryer in an upcoming project for the Sheboygan Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The Sheboygan WWTP biogas system upgrade project recently won the ACEC Grand Award for the state of Wisconsin for achieving Net Zero Energy using biogas and CHP. Sheboygan's strategic plan for sustaining its Net Zero Energy status includes adding the HUBER biosolids indirect drying system in a project that is slated to take place next year. The drying system will use the waste heat from the biogas system upgrade to dry the biosolids to Class A quality.
"This will be a model plant because of the environmental implications of its systems. Being selected as part of the team to provide the technology that supports what this plant has already achieved is an honor," said HUBER Technology President, Dana Hicks.
