PALM DESERT, Calif., & VANCOUVER, B.C. Jan.29, 2001 —U.S.Filter and Service Systems International (OTCBB:SVSY) have signed a definitive agreement to launch a strategic alliance to market Service Systems' ultraviolet disinfection technology for water and wastewater applications.
Since October 2000, both companies have participated in Ultra Guard UV product information exchange and training. U.S.Filter's Wallace & Tiernan Products, Vineland, N.J., is now advancing its distribution network, as well as promoting and selling the UV technology. A newly created position of product manager of UV technologies will manage U.S.Filter's UV product and technical support team.
Ron Casatelli, vice president and general manager of U.S.Filter's Wallace & Tiernan Products said, "We've received favorable customer interest in the Ultra Guard(r) advanced ultraviolet disinfection technology due to the product's performance results, lower operating costs and modular installation."
