SARASOTA, Fla., July 30, 2001 — USFilter said today it has ended its business relationship with Envirogen, Inc. of Lawrenceville, N.J., but would continue to market biofiltration technology for odor control, using its own technology.
Under a previous contract with Envirogen, which concluded as of June 30, 2001, USFilter's Davis Products of Thomasville, G.A., had incorporated Envirogen's biofiltration technology in its Modular Biofilter System™. The system, which provides cost-effective elimination of odors and VOCs at wastewater treatment plants and other sites, will now incorporate biological processes developed by USFilter and its parent company, Vivendi Water.
Doug Davis, sales and marketing director for USFilter's Davis Products, said USFilter would continue to support established Modular Biofilter System customers in the United States.
"Keeping the entire technology within the USFilter family will produce cost savings and other advantages that can be passed on to our customers. We look forward to this new integrated approach."
