May 25, 2001—The Water Environment Research Foundation released an announcement that the deadline is nearing for applications and nominations for a new award honoring innovation in applied water research.
June 1, 2001, is the date by which applications and nominations must be postmarked for the first annual Paul L. Busch Award, to be presented at WERF's Subscriber Luncheon at WEFTEC 2001.
The award, presented each year by the WERF Endowment for Innovation in Applied Water Quality Research, honors the memory of WERF's late emeritus Board of Directors chair, Paul L. Busch, Ph.D.
The annual grant of $100,000 goes to individuals and teams that work to bring the benefits of imaginative engineering to the water quality community. Information about the award and how to apply or nominate recipients is available at http://www.werf.org/gallery/busch/awardprocess.htm.
