MORTON GROVE, IL, Mar. 31, 2011 -- A new competition, launched by ITT Residential & Commercial Water along with foundation partner ITT Watermark, encourages a collaborative approach to solving global water challenges such as water scarcity and accessibility to safe drinking water.
Supported through a partnership with InnoCentive.com, the Ideation Challenge will 'harness the brainpower' of creative, bright individuals around the world to tackle the issue of educating illiterate populations about the importance of purifying drinking water.
InnoCentive's Global Solver Network of dedicated problem solvers, which will help provide solutions to the challenge, is comprised of individuals with varied professional backgrounds and work experience. The public is encouraged to submit their own original solutions as well: The ITT Ideation Challenge is open to participants from any discipline or background, and runs until April 27, 2011. After a review of all submissions, the winning solution will be published and available in May 2011.
The Challenge winner will receive a grand prize of $5,000.
