EnviroGear® Pumps, part of PSG®, a Dover company, is extending its line of E Series internal gear pumps with the availability of 4” (100 mm) and 6” (150 mm) sizes offering flows up to 500 gpm (1,893 L/min). Suitable for challenging and demanding transfer applications, these new E Series pumps are available in cast iron, carbon steel and stainless-steel materials. The pumps feature a revolutionary seal-less design with a patented between-the-bearing support system that effectively eliminates leaks and reduces mechanical wear, helping increase the safety for site personnel and the environment.

Smart, portable pH meter
The Pro2Go™ portable pH meter provides rapid measurement, one-handed operation and great durability. For increased operating confidence, it also lets the operator know when the attached sensor will need to be calibrated or replaced. The rugged, water-resistant meter is compatible with both analog and METTLER TOLEDO’s digital Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM™) pH/redox probes. ISM’s features include Plug-and-Measure operation for error-free setup.

Remote position indication for manual valves
The Rotork SPI Smart Position Indicator provides a more reliable and accurate open/close position indication solution for multi-turn valves than previously available equipment. Limit switches or sensors for remote indication are located and terminated internally so no external junction box is required to connect to a Distributed Control System. Position is mechanically displayed locally via a large display dial. The maintenance-free unit is housed in an anodized aluminum enclosure that is environmentally sealed to IP 67. It is available in variants designed for service in either hazardous or non-hazardous areas.

Saudi Aramco-approved fluorometer
Following detailed scientific and technical evaluation by the Environmental Protection Department of Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil company Saudi Aramco, the Ballast-Check™ 2 Handheld PAM Fluorometer (USA) from Turner Designs is approved as a valid Ballast Water Sampling Instrument. Saudi Aramco announced in August 2017 that all ships calling at its ports and terminals are required to provide ballast water test results to show compliance with the IMO BWM 2004 convention. Ballast-Check 2 is a small, lightweight, highly durable handheld fluorometer ideal for quick indicative compliance checks of ballast water. Factory set, Ballast-Check 2 is ready for use right out of the box, no calibration necessary.

Broad spectrum biocide
Preventol DP 1021 from Lanxess is a broad-spectrum biocide developed for use in industrial water systems to control and prevent biofilm formation. In addition to microbial control, this new blend helps to reduce the buildup of organic load on the surface of the water treatment systems, thereby minimizing the formation of biofilms. Preventol DP 1021 is effective against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, including sulfate-reducing and acid-producing bacteria. It performs at low dosage levels (<100 ppm), is non-corrosive for common materials and chemistries used in water treatment, and is a non-sensitizing biocide.
