CHRIST awarded large order in Romania
MONDSEE, Germany, Dec. 13, 2007 -- Western Romanian cities Deva and Hunedoara located on the west side of river Mures have selected water treatment expert Aqua Engineering for a high competence project. Aqua Engineering GmbH, Mondsee, a group company of Christ Water Technology AG, was awarded another order to refurbish the water treatment plant in Orlea that delivers water to Deva and for the construction of a new water treatment plant with two purification lines in the city of Hunedoara. The value of the orders is EUR 8.2 million and will be financed by EU funds.
Infrastructure of Deva and Hunedoara is in a bad condition making the local population suffer from an inadequate water supply, both in terms of quantity and quality. After completion of the projects with a compound capacity of 89,000m³/day, 150,000 people will be given access to best drinking water according to regulations of the directive EU 98/83/EG.
