Latest EMWIS e-newsletter now available

April 2, 2008 -- The latest e-newsletter for the Water Sector from the Euro-Mediterranean Information System -- EMWIS Flash -- was released April 1. Among the news highlights are a review of the First African Water Week (AWW-1), an EC proposal to streamline the European Environmental Information System, recognition of World Water Day including comments from the UK International Development Minister warning of future "water wars" if access to clean water & sanitation aren't improved, launch of the Global Sanitation Fund by the Water Supply & Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC), and water and sanitation issues in Morocco, Egypt, Jordan and Palestine.
