Argonide/Toyota present joint paper at WQA conference

LAS VEGAS, NV, April 29, 2008 -- Argonide Corporation, a Sanford, Florida company that manufactures ultra-high efficiency industrial water purification filters, was honored to present a joint paper with Toyota Motor Manufacturing of North America at this year's WQA-Aquatech conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Argonide's Henry Frank and Toyota's Rick Lancaster spoke of work, both current and future, between Argonide and Toyota.

The WQA-Aquatech conference has long been considered the premier conference in North America with a focus on drinking water treatment. To better reflect the growing importance of water use reduction, reuse and recycling in the industrial environment, Argonide and Toyota were invited to provide an insight into the uses of Argonide's NanoCeram Electropositive water filters in Toyota's North American manufacturing plants.

Toyota is highly committed to be the world's "greenest" company and water-use minimization throughout their manufacturing facilities is an integral part of those efforts. Amongst their goals is that of a sustainable plant. Toyota's efforts include actively seeking new technologies and processes to further increase their water use efficiencies.

Argonide's electropositive NanoCeram filters provide the performance desired for many industrial applications, but with significant advantages over membranes in filtration efficiency, flow rates, dirt holding capacity and reliability.

In addition to current projects at Toyota which utilize NanoCeram filters, other areas of future work include prefiltration for reverse osmosis (RO) systems; waste water treatment; iron reduction for chill water systems, robotic welders and die cooling loops; rinse water recycling; metals recovery from waste water; and oil emulsion removal.
