Scottish Water appoints Faithful+Gould lead cost consultancy
Feb. 15, 2008 -- Further building upon an already substantial national portfolio of water related projects, the northern region of international project management and cost consultants, Faithful+Gould, has scooped a significant commission delivering cost consultancy services for Scottish Water.
This recent appointment, as lead cost consultant, will see Faithful+Gould's team providing a range of professional and technical services relating to cost and expenditure.
The role will include providing project cost estimating, contract cost auditing, cost data interpretation and analysis and regulatory reporting.
Heading up the project, water expert and Director of Faithful+Gould, Sean Lynch, said: "We are delighted to have been awarded this highly significant contract. Scottish Water is the fourth largest water and waste water services provider in the UK and at £1 billion per annum it is in Scotland's list of top 20 businesses by turnover. It plans to invest £628m this financial year in improving assets to meet challenging customer service targets set by Scottish Ministers.

This latest commission further enhances Faithful+Gould's portfolio of water sector work which includes cost management and commercial services to support the delivery of Northumbrian Water Limited's (NWL) AMP4 capital investment delivery programme. As part of this Faithful+Gould has most recently undertaken a key role on the £28 million project to extend NWL's Regional Sludge Treatment Centre on its Bran Sands site in Teesside.
Faithful+Gould is a member of the Atkins group of companies. It is one of the world's largest project and cost management consultancies.
