AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Feb. 19, 2008 -- Almost all the available stand space for Aquatech China 2008 has been sold some four months before the show opens its doors to water industry professionals from China and around the world. The leading international trade exhibition for process, drinking and waste water will be held for the first time in China from May 21-23, 2008.

Over 300 companies expected
At the moment, more than 240 companies from China and the rest of the world have already registered as exhibitors. The exhibition floor of the Shanghaimart Expo is now filled up to 95 percent of its capacity. "We have already reached our targets for 2008," says Paddy Young, Senior Domain Manager of Aquatech. "Although we knew the Chinese market was in demand, our expectations have been exceeded."

The potential of China has been well documented, with some 1.3 billion inhabitants driving double-digit economic growth. The country's entry to the WTO and the awarding of the 2008 Olympic Games has accelerated this process. As cities grow exponentially and commercial and industrial output increases, huge pressure is being placed on China's water infrastructure. These developments offer unprecedented opportunities for water industry developers and related businesses.

Aquatech China will play host to over 300 companies from all over the world. They will display the very latest products to thousands of professionals from the international water industry.

Specialist conference programme
The show is further strengthened by an extensive conference programme. The International Water Association (IWA) will organise conferences on wastewater recycling and reuse, desalination, membrane systems for water and wastewater treatment, and new types of waste water treatment. The latest research papers and studies exploring contemporary trends in water technology will be discussed.

Pre-registration guarantees free entrance for visitors. Visitors are requested to pre-register for Aquatech China 2008 at www.china.aquatechtrade.com. Pre-registration guarantees a free entrance badge to visit the show, plus a catalogue and extra speedy entrance on site.

Aquatech is a portfolio of trade exhibitions of process, drinking and waste water technology.
