GREENOCK, Scotland, UK, Feb. 22, 2008 -- Brimac Environmental Services Ltd (Brimac) announced it has signed an agreement with Plymouth Technology Inc. (Plymouth) to distribute Metals Removal System (MRS) wastewater treatment technology by Plymouth throughout the UK and Europe. MRS will now be available for the first time in the European market delivering industrial manufacturers vastly improved wastewater treatment.

Will Downie, Brimac Environmental Services CEO said: "The real strength of this partnership is that we can now offer European industrial manufacturers a superior technological solution for significantly improved wastewater treatment. The MRS has been specifically designed for the industrial manufacturing sector to reduce water consumption and achieve metal removal rates never before achievable resulting in cleaner, safer water."

Plymouth's Metals Removal Systems (MRS) use proprietary media and patented processes to adsorb heavy metals and other contaminants from wastewater streams. Manufacturing facilities, particularly coatings plants with paint shops, must treat wastewater on-site before releasing it into municipal water systems, typically using a large, complex water treatment plant to reduce water contaminants to acceptable levels. MRS treated wastewater requires less chemicals, produces less sludge and therefore less plant resources, while providing an effluent stream typically cleaner than that required by regulations.

Up to 50% of water treated by Metals Removal Systems can also be reused in some processes, thus reducing total water purchase and discharge, saving money and reducing environmental impact.

"Strong demand in the US resulted in a need to expand our MRS product offering for customers with international operations. Our new Brimac partnership will provide a clear channel to deliver Plymouth Technology's MRS systems to the UK and European market, helping us to better address the burgeoning requirement to standardise globally," said Amanda Christides, Plymouth Technology's president and CEO. "Brimac Environmental Services offers a common vision for the development and market introduction of our waste water treatment solutions that will revolutionise the way manufacturers manage water."

The Metals Removal System delivers key economic and environmental benefits:
• Designed to treat wide range of heavy metals
• Provides higher level of metals removal than existing technologies
• Produces higher quality water which can then be recycled -- reducing inbound water and effluent costs
• Manages and minimises risk of unforeseen 'spikes' in effluent
• Reduced chemical usage
• Reduced sludge (minimising landfill)
• Lowers dependence on alterative energy-demanding technologies
• Requires smaller footprint with minimal maintenance
• Through-life costs dramatically lower than existing solutions

Brimac Environmental Services have developed a comprehensive range of strategy consultancy, process engineering consultancy and project management services and products.

Founded in 1991, Plymouth Technology Inc. (Michigan, USA) is a leading provider of industrial water and wastewater treatment chemicals, equipment and consulting services.
