MECCA, Saudi Arabia, Aug. 31, 2009 -- Saur Group has just signed a technical assistance contract worth 2.3 million euros with the Holy City.
The contract concerns the overall water management for Mecca, which numbers 1.4 million inhabitants, a figure which can increase to 4.5 million during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The services provided within the scope of the contract, which has been concluded for a period of one year, include the following:
- Distribution
- Sanitation
- Customer relationship management
- Diagnostic audit and implementation of the inventory of assets and equipment.
History of the Saur Group in Saudi Arabia:
- 2006: Full audit (technical and financial) of the water and sanitation services for the towns of Dammam (750,000 inhabitants) and Al Khobar (456,000 inhabitants).
- 2007: Technical assistance contract for water and sanitation management for the town of Djeddah (2.8 million inhabitants).
