NEW YORK, NY, Nov. 24, 2009 -- Dolat Ventures Inc. announced today that its soon to be acquisition Dove Diamonds & Mining intends to help improve the lives of children and their families by providing easy access to clean drinking water in West Africa's Sierra Leone.
"As part of any mining exploration in West Africa's Sierra Leone we intend to spend more than the stated 0.1 percent of annual gross revenues on community initiatives," said Mr. Dovid Hauck, Chief Executive Officer of Dove Diamonds & Mining Inc.
The Company intends to provide PlayPumps to areas where they may be conducting mining operations in order to help achieve the goal of providing easy access to drinking water. Children have fun spinning on the PlayPump merry-go-round while clean water is pumped from underground into a 2,500-liter tank standing twenty-one feet (seven meters) above the ground. A simple tap makes it easy for adults and children to draw water. Excess water is diverted from the storage tank back down into the borehole.
Additionally, the water storage tank provides a rare opportunity for advertisement in outlaying communities. All four sides of the tank are leased as billboards, with two sides for consumer advertising and the other two sides for health and educational messages. The revenue generated by this unique model pays for pump maintenance. The design of the PlayPump water system makes it highly effective, easy to operate and very economical, keeping costs and maintenance to an absolute minimum. It is capable of producing up to 1,400 liters of water per hour at 16 rpm from a depth of 40 meters, it is effective up to a depth of 100 meters.
