A team of consultants, economists and engineers specializing in climate and energy strategy has hence just joined Sogreah. The Ecofys France team completes Sogreah's skills in several of its key development areas: energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission management, adaptation to climate change, green construction, energy efficiency and sustainable energy consultancy.
The team is based in Paris and Avignon and its clients include several ministries, ADEME (the French Environment and Energy Management Agency), industrial firms (including EDF and GDF-Suez) and the public sector, with references both in France and abroad.
Sogreah is thus continuing to develop leading sustainable energy consultancy and engineering services. The Ecofys France team joins the company following on from the acquisition in 2007 of Sert, a company specializing in renewable energy development and actively pursuing organic growth in this sector.
Being a specialist in the urban, river and maritime environment, Sogreah has naturally become a major European player in climate change adaptation consultancy -- vulnerability analysis and definition of technical solutions for adaptation, and in greenhouse gas emission reductions -- assessments, action plans and implementation of the Kyoto Protocol and European directives. Ecofys France boosts our expertise in the fields of climate change prevention strategies and the economic and political analysis of such strategies.
On a more general level, the arrival of the Ecofys France team strengthens the group's consultancy capabilities and follows the acquisition in May 2009 of ICEA, a specialist in technical and economic studies and management consultancy for commercial public services.
