LEHIGH VALLEY, PA, Oct. 12, 2009 -- Air Products will feature its broad line of solutions for water and wastewater treatment, now marketed globally under the Halia™ brand name, at WEFTEC 2009 in Orlando, Fla., from October 10-14. The company's offerings include pure oxygen aeration systems for wastewater treatment, as well as ozone advanced oxidation systems for drinking water and water reuse applications.

Included in the Halia product line is the Halia Advanced Oxidation System incorporating the HiPOx®(1) technology, an ozone-based advanced oxidation process for water treatment. HiPOx has been granted conditional acceptance by the California Department of Public Health for unrestricted water reuse under Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and is the first ozone-based technology validated to meet disinfection criteria for treating wastewater and making it available for reuse.

"Advanced methods for water treatment is an emerging market driven by rising populations and limited water resources," said Debbie Anderson, global strategic marketing manager for the Water business at Air Products. "With more than 30 years of experience in water and wastewater services, Air Products' Halia solutions can help industrial and municipal users attain sustainability of their water resources."

Derived from Greek mythology, Halia -- goddess of the sea -- is symbolic of the tradition, knowledge and understanding that Air Products brings to water technologies.
