ORLANDO, Florida, USA, Oct 12, 2009 -- Effective Oct. 1, 2009, Brent Hillier was named the new head of the U.S. arm of Siemens Water Technologies. By creating a business exclusively for the American market under Siemens Industry Inc., Siemens Water Technologies can better address its strongest market.
"We want to concentrate more intensely than before on our customers in North America and support them with solutions that will help them master the coming challenges of environmentally compatible water management," says Chuck Gordon, CEO of Siemens Water Technologies.
Hillier joined USFilter in 2000 and up to now headed the Siemens Water Technologies service department.
"The integration in Siemens' U.S. business gives us the advantage of being able to use cross-divisional synergies and to react even more quickly in the marketplace," says Brent Hillier. Through cooperation with other industry businesses at Siemens, in the future Siemens Water Technologies wants to improve its offerings for sectors like metals & mining, marine, oil & gas and paper, and offer sustainable solutions and services.
