Apr. 8, 2009 -- ABS Wastewater Technology, Australia has been selected by McConnell Dowell, a world class engineering, construction and maintenance company to supply and install five units of ABS Double Suction Centrifugal Pumps Z22 complete pump sets, including motors and variable speed drives.
The ABS Double Suction Centrifugal Pumps Z22 will be the outlet pumps for the upcoming Adelaide Desalination Plant. They will pump the desalinated water from the plant into the city's drinking water reticulation system and bulk storages.
"ABS Australia was chosen by McConnell Dowell partly due to our past success on the Western Corridor project, but also importantly on our experience, product reputation and high levels of service. The client deals with only one supplier for the complete wire-to-water pump package whereby ABS products will be installed, commissioned and serviced by ABS personnel," said Kevin Sparkes, Contracts Manager
ABS Australia had previously worked with McConnell Dowell to supply ten complete Z22 pump sets to the Western Corridor Pipeline project at the end of 2007. McConnell Dowell was a member of the Western Corridor Alliance and was involved in the pump package procurement from beginning to end.
