SHANGHAI, China, May 20, 2009 -- Noppen's Shanghai Water Forum, held May 18-19, 2009, successfully hosted local and international key figures in the municipal water industry. The forum was co-organized with Tongji University and supported by Shanghai Water Authority. Co-host was Bayer Technology Services Asia. Over the course of the two-day conference, delegates and speakers discussed opportunities and challenges of China municipal water industry development.

Most authoritative presenter, besides Zhu Shiqing however was Prof Gao Tingyan, former president of Tongji University and key expert in urban water technologies. He brought an in-depth case-study on Sludge treatment.
Whereas Day 1 delivered information about the environmental planning, strategies and current projects; Day 2 focused on water supply, technologies and pipeline construction.
Attendees walked away with useful hands-on information as well as impressive strategic planning figures. For the corporate executives present the huge opportunities of the China market could not be presented in a better and clearer way.
Besides the experts and market leading market players, over 40 municipal project owners were in attendance offering the corporate executives diversified networking and business meetings.
With the successful closure of this Shanghai Water Forum, Noppen has set a solid foundation for the second window of the event: China Industrial Wastewater Forum, June 1-2, Shenyang.
