CHARDON, OH, Feb. 16, 2009 -- Enceladus Water Group, a growing company specializing in RO (reverse osmosis) components for industrial and municipal water filtration applications, today announced three major developments in its business. These developments include the launch of a new patent-pending water filtration product, delivery of nearly 2,000 pressure vessels for a major water purification project in Singapore, and pending ANSI/NSF Standard 61 product certification from UL (Underwriters Laboratories).

In April 2009, Enceladus will introduce an FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) cartridge housing for water filtration that features a patent-pending design unique to the water treatment industry.

Named the Enceladus Cartridge Housing (ECH), the housings possess all of the standard features found in industry standard SST cartridge housings, but feature corrosion-free, non-metallic wetted parts. Models will range in size to accommodate 5, 12, 22, or 61 pieces of standard 2.5" diameter cartridges, from 10" to 70" in length. The ECH Series is designed and tested in accordance with ASME Section X.

In addition to its focus on industry-changing product development for the water filtration industry, Enceladus is the exclusive North American and South American sales representative and global project management company for Harbin ROPV, the largest and oldest pressure vessel manufacturer in Asia-Pacific. ROPV, headquartered in China, offers a full line of 2.5," 4" and 8" pressure vessels, and has a global installed base of 8" pressure vessels in excess of 120,000 pieces.

ROPV recently completed delivery of 1,980 pressure vessels for the Changi NEWater RO Water Purification Project in Singapore. The vessels were a combination of 3" and 4" side multi-port configurations, rated at 300PSI. Black & Veatch Corporation was the consulting engineer. Biwater AEWT and Biwater Malaysia, along with Sembcorp Industries, assembled and installed the system. At a total capacity of 228,000 m³/day (60 million gallons per day), the plant will provide 15 percent of Singapore's water demand by 2010.

Another recent development is ROPV's application for ANSI/NSF Standard 61 certification of its pressure vessels from UL. ANSI/NSF Standard 61 encompasses products that come into contact with drinking water and/or drinking water treatment chemicals. Certification is expected in the first quarter of 2009.

Enceladus Vice President Kevin Goodge said his company is well prepared to meet increased global demand. "We are already benefiting from our relationship with ROPV, which has emerged as a major manufacturer of FRP pressure vessels and is becoming more active in global projects," he said. "Enceladus is bringing its knowledge of RO technology, engineering, and manufacturing to bear on the increasingly large and complex global water filtration projects being undertaken by ROPV."

Enceladus principals include Goodge as vice president and John Larmon as vice president of sales and marketing. Goodge brings 14 years of experience with Pentair Water Treatment to Enceladus, having held positions there in design engineering, manufacturing, operations, and technical sales and management. He is also a consultant and certified Master Black Belt in Lean and Six Sigma. Larmon possesses extensive overseas experience. Working with both Pentair Water Treatment and Environmental World Products LLC, Larmon spent nearly a decade focusing on the industrial water market in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

Founded in February 2008, Enceladus Water Group specializes in RO components for industrial and municipal water filtration applications, including RO membrane housings and pressure vessels.
