OPS Systems names new president
RIO RANCHO, NM, Nov. 27, 2006 -- Scott Dorner has been appointed president of OPS Systems Inc.
After receiving a computer science degree from Texas Tech, Dorner started his career at Datastream in 1988 as a programmer. He joined Dorner Products Inc in 1993, began in controls sales and was instrumental in the acquisition of the OPS product line from Datastream in 1995. Dorner Products has been in the water industry since it was founded in 1911 by Scott's great grandfather.
In 2000, OPS Systems split from Dorner Products and was moved to Rio Rancho, NM, near Albuquerque. The first hire in New Mexico was Jan Bob who is now promoted to vice president of technology. Bob received his computer science degree from New Mexico Tech. He has been instrumental in leading the development of the OPS SQL product.
John Dorner, PE, will continue as CEO.
