SENECA FALLS, NY, Dec. 20, 2006 -- Kenneth Napolitano has been appointed president of the Industrial & BioPharm Group of ITT Corp. The ITT Industrial & BioPharm Group (IBG), with headquarters in Seneca Falls, NY, manufactures and markets products globally under a number of premier brands including Goulds Pumps®, Pure-Flo®, Engineered Valves, A-C Pump®, PumpSmart®, and PRO Services®. IBG has manufacturing plants, PRO Services Centers and sales offices spanning 45 countries worldwide with over 2,000 employees.
Napolitano follows in his father's footsteps. Vincent A. Napolitano served as president of Goulds Pumps from 1978 until his untimely death in 1984. In his sales leadership capacity, the younger Napolitano was instrumental in the rationalization and integration of pump brands after the Goulds merger with ITT in 1998.
He began his career as an engineering co-op at Goulds Pumps in 1980. He progressed through numerous sales, operations, and marketing management positions, until ultimately assuming the Vice Presidency of Sales and Service Operations - Americas. Napolitano's successful development of ITT's Monitoring and Controls business as well as his revitalization of the ITT PRO Services organization were recognized by ITT senior management. Napolitano has functioned as Interim President since the August departure of William Taylor who was promoted to President of ITT China.
Napolitano received his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering & Management from Clarkson University and has participated in the ITT-sponsored Ashridge Executive Education program. A certified Six Sigma Greenbelt, he'll report to Henry J. Driesse, president of ITT Fluid Technology Group, which is based in Upper Saddle River, NJ.
