WASHINGTON, DC, May 5, 2006 -- The Mexico Leadership Forum offers unique opportunity to get to know the leaders of key Mexican water projects. These projects will be presented as part of the May 23 event in Mexico City at the Torre Mayor -- the tallest building in Latin America.

The forum follows the Latin American Leadership Forum structure -- after registering, participants will receive a password to request pre-arranged private meetings with the presenters, so as to create or further develop relationships with the projects.

The North American Development Bank joins the Puebla State government in overseeing the presentation of a series of water projects, among the top 15 strategic infrastructure projects in Mexico, including:

• Monterrey Water Reutilization Project
Valued at $66 million
The only one of its kind in Mexico, this project helps alleviate Monterrey's water needs by reutilizing wastewater at 800,000 liters per day from the city's industrial zone. Construction begins this year.

• Tijuana Water/Wastewater
Valued at $42 million
A total of 426,500 sewer lines and collectors will be rehabilitated by means of slip lining, requiring less excavation, thus minimizing traffic disruption. Project timeline is four years.

• Valsequillo Lake Clean-Up
Valued at $212 million
Three river basins feeding into the Valsequillo collect all urban and industrial residuals, carrying untreated water into the lake. Initial plans call for civil works including 70 treatment plants and construction of collector systems to feed sewage into three existing, underperforming treatment plants.

The Mexico Leadership Forum is organized by CG/LA Infrastructure (www.cg-la.com), a Washington, DC-based strategic research organization.
