Grundodrill 15 XP at work.Jan. 27, 2010 -- The underground installation of water and power lines with the HDD bore method is an economical and ecological alternative to the open trenching method. To ensure a smooth bore operation a modern bore technology is required as well as a safe handling through the operating personnel.
Bore rigs, such as the new Grundodrill 10 XP and 15 XP from TRACTO-TECHNIK are equipped with numerous high-tech-components. This does not mean that the operating has got more complicated -- in fact the opposite is the case. Immense performance improvements with the rotation performance, as well as modernizations really speak volumes for the XP, which works much quieter as comparable bore systems. Further highlights to be noted are the 400 mm wide rubber undercarriage, the bore-data storage system, the tensile strength measuring system and remote data transfer to the LCD display, which controls the bore mode and the auto-bore. A "black box" stores the bore process and the data is available at all times.
The percussive hammer, which is typical for the Grundodrill increases the application possibilities for the machine in stony soils. The dynamic percussive hammer (1500 strokes/min) can even bore through weathered rocks.
