Jan. 8, 2010 -- Reed Manufacturing has announced two new international appointments. Yousef Hamdan will take on the role of International Regional Manager for the Middle East and Africa. Yousef is based in Amman, Jordan. He is responsible for identifying and establishing new channels of distribution in the Middle East and Africa. He will supply his customers and business partners with the latest information on the capabilities and quality of Reed's growing product line. He also will train sales representatives, keeping them up to date on product developments and new marketing programs.

Before joining Reed, Yousef worked as a sales representative in the Middle East for Thorn Lighting and most recently for Sylvania. He earned his BA in Business at Amman University, the leading private university in Jordan, and his MS in Marketing from the University of Huddersfield in England.

Yousef is looking forward to helping new and existing distributors achieve their sales goals and cultivating successful long-term business relationships throughout his territory.

Reed Manufacturing also welcomes Hector Angel as its new International Regional Manager for South America. Hector is based in Bogota, Colombia. In the months ahead he will travel to major cities throughout South America. He will visit industrial process piping companies, oil and gas facilities, water companies, gas distribution companies, plus key mechanical and fire sprinkler contractors to supply the latest information on the capabilities and quality of Reed's growing product line. He will work with distributors and sales representatives to keep them current on product developments and new marketing programs.

Before joining Reed, Hector worked for Quinteros as the industrial division sales manager and also with Snap-On Tools. (Quinteros has represented Reed tools in Colombia for 25 years.) Hector earned his BA in Business at California Lutheran University and has since taken part in professional development courses in specialized marketing and sales.

Hector is looking forward to strengthening ties with current customers and attracting new business with the many advantages Reed programs and tools can bring to their operations, including profitability.
