KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Feb. 4, 2010 -- Water scarcity underscores the need for better water resources and management. While there has been short supply, demand for water is growing throughout the planet with GCC countries named as the most affected region. It is undeniably the result of population increase and other social factors such as rapid urbanization and wasteful consumption patterns.
