KENT, UK, August 7, 2007 -- C.Scope, the Kent-based underground location specialists, have been awarded a highly sought after tender for BT, providing their Cable Avoidance Tool range in an initial three-year contract.
Overcoming significant tenders from their competitors, C.Scope were awarded the contract after fulfilling the unique requirements of BT's needs. A number of distinctive products were requested, including Cable Avoidance Tools, Signal Generators, Signal Clamps, Metal Cover Detectors and a unique Rodding Oscillator, otherwise known as a Sonde. C.Scope was successful with every single item it bid for and has already begun supplying BT with these products.
"This is an exceptional win for our company," says Paul Wells, Sales Director at C.Scope. "The BT tender was both exciting and daunting - exciting because it was the first opportunity we have had to bid for BT business since the launch of our highly successful and popular Cable Avoidance Tool range of locators, and daunting because we were required to create a Rodding Oscillator to BT specifications, from scratch, in little more then two weeks. Our research and development team dropped everything to design, create and develop the item and we know that BT was impressed by our commitment and speed of response."
C.Scope visited a large number of field staff, whose requirement for C.Scope products covered a large variety of uses. "This trialing period proved invaluable to us," says Paul Wells. "It meant that we were fully in tune with BTs locating needs as an organization and it enabled us to show how versatile, functional and durable our products were."
C.Scope has already begun supplying BT with its equipment and will also provide on-site training to staff, as well as supplying its new tutorial CD-Rom, launched last month.
