LIVERPOOL, UK, Aug. 14, 2007 -- Mouchel Parkman's water business has been awarded a place on seven different water framework contracts with United Utilities.
The contracts run for three years from Aug. 1, with the option of a two-year extension, and will be delivered by Mouchel Parkman's Liverpool office.
The framework contracts are separate to the KMI+ partnership -- between Kier Construction, Murphy Group and Interserve Projects, with Mouchel Parkman acting as design partner -- which has been providing engineering design services to United Utilities since 2005.
Mouchel Parkman regional director Ken Gedman says: "Mouchel Parkman has a strong presence in the North West and, both historically and strategically, the region is very important to us. Our water business has grown significantly in the past three years and these wins speak volumes about Mouchel Parkman's reputation, expertise and scope of services in the water sector. We can't wait to start working closer with United Utilities in a wide variety of areas in the future."
Mouchel Parkman is a professional support services group, which helps clients in the public sector and regulated industry to provide better everyday services to customers and communities. Its water business provides a variety of design and operational services to all the regulated water and sewerage companies in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The business also provides marine expertise for major port and terminal operators, shoreline protection for local authorities and the Environment Agency, and planning, engineering and management services for flood alleviation schemes.
