Hydranautics holds seminar in United Arab Emirates
OCEANSIDE, CA, Nov. 27, 2007 -- Hydranautics held its first technology seminar "Quenching the Thirst for Knowledge: New Innovations and Products in Membrane Filtration" on Nov. 11 in Dubai, U.A.E. Over 80 people joined, from end-users to OEMs, engineers and O&Ms, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for a full day seminar presented by Dr. Craig Bartels and Dr. Stefan Rybar addressing several topics related to reverse osmosis (RO) technology and the operation and maintenance of RO facilities.
The major subjects discussed were:
• Pre-treatment design selection -- conventional and Integrated Membrane Solutions®
• Design basics for SW and BW reverse osmosis systems
• System design, start up and commissioning
• Fouling symptoms and control
• UF/MF water treatment guidelines
• Several case studies of Hydranautics' Integrated Membrane Solutions, including HYDRAcap® pretreatment for SWRO
• New Developments in the RO industry: 16" large diameter elements and selective rejection nanofiltration elements
• Beyond reverse osmosis---what's next?
Hydranautics experienced such success with "Quenching the Thirst for Knowledge: New Innovations and Products in Membrane Filtration" that they will be making this an annual event in the U.A.E. and next year's will be held in Abu Dhabi.
