American Membrane Technology Association celebrates 35 years of service

This years' annual conference is expected to break all previous records. All exhibit booths have been sold out since mid May. Conference registrations are being received from all over U.S. and even as far away as Spain, China and Australia. The conference begins with two pre-conference workshops (Inland Concentrate Management and Membrane Plant Operator Training). This year's conference has been expanded to include not only technical presentations but also training sessions...

STUART, FL, June 20, 2007 -- This years' annual conference is expected to break all previous records. All exhibit booths have been sold out since mid May. Conference registrations are being received from all over U.S. and even as far away as Spain, China and Australia.

The conference begins with two pre-conference workshops (Inland Concentrate Management and Membrane Plant Operator Training). This year's conference has been expanded to include not only technical presentations but also training sessions, a legislative breakfast, an IDA international session, networking receptions, optional group activities, and even a comedy play titled "Sometimes Everyone Gets Sued" with AMTA members as the cast.

AMTA 2007 conference is the place where you can learn about planning, designing, procuring and operating membrane plants. Industry leaders and experts gather at this event with one agenda: how to implement cost effective, environmentally friendly solutions and improve membrane technology applications.

1) AMTA/NWRI - Inland Concentrate Management: NWRI's Executive Director Jeff Mosher will be moderating this workshop which will focus on concentrate treatment technologies, salt separation, and utility case studies. This workshop is schedule for 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

2) AMTA/SWMOA - Membrane Plant Operator Training: SWMOA's President Mehul Patel will be moderating this workshop which will focus on basics of membranes, pretreatment and fouling, and membrane cleaning methods and concentrate disposal, as well as a number of hands-on breakout sessions covering membrane vessel profiling and cartridge filters for pretreatment. This workshop is schedule for 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
