LONDON, June 14, 2007 -- Hanovia, a leading technology company that develops and manufactures UV products used across the globe, is expanding its operations at the Slough Trading Estate, it was announced today.

In a move to larger premises on Buckingham Avenue, the company, which has been in operation at the Trading Estate for more than 25 years, has taken a 15-year lease for a building of more than 20,000 sq ft (1,865 sq m).

Since first establishing its headquarters at the Trading Estate's Farnham Road in 1982, the company has installed some 40,000 UV systems in more than 100 countries, which are used for the non-chemical treatment of water and air, including municipal drinking water, wastewater, the process industries, hospitals and swimming pools.

As the only UV system supplier to develop and manufacture UV lamps and monitors, Hanovia is generally recognized as the technology leader in this specialized area. The company is a part of the Water Technology division of Halma plc, a manufacturing group that employs more than 3000 people on 4 different continents, and has an unrivalled reputation for excellence in products that protect people's lives and health.

In moving to Buckingham Avenue, Hanovia will be well located on the main thoroughfare through the Trading Estate, with excellent transport links by road, rail and air.

Stephen Bailey, Regional Director of Slough Trading Estate, said: "In the last 25 years, we have seen Hanovia go from strength to strength here at the Slough Trading Estate. They have built up a phenomenal customer base across the globe, and I am delighted that they have chosen to take advantage of the flexible leasing policy that we operate here at the Trading Estate as they move to new and larger premises."

Some of the world's most successful companies already operate at the Trading Estate, including Ferrari, Fiat Auto (UK) Limited, Black & Decker, Research in Motion, LG Electronics and O2. A diverse range of sectors are represented on the estate, with a particular concentration of businesses working in the biotechnology; logistics; IT and communications; electronics and engineering fields.
