Dec. 13, 2007 -- The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) has announced that Paul Overbeck has been appointed as its new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2008. This follows the retirement of Jim Bolton after eight years of distinguished service.

Overbeck has had a very accomplished career within the water industry, holding senior management and executive positions and is also current Executive Director of the International Ozone Association Pan-American Group -- a position he will retain.

"We are pleased that Paul brings knowledge of treatment process synergies and experience in directing the activities of Not-for-Profit educational associations. This makes him uniquely qualified to support the growth of UV in current and emerging applications." said Linda Gowman, president of IUVA.
